Food processing in general, and fish in particular, requires special attention to hygiene. What does that entail? Among other important factors are: the correct temperature, the manner and speed of processing, the proper packaging and transport conditions of the fish.
Good hygiene begins with our staff, who are trained in the most hygienic ways of working. The international control agency SGS regularly conducts inspections on the workfloor.
Maxima Seafood has its own own internal laboratory. There, we regularly test our products to ensure continuous quality. With each delivery of tuna we carry out a histamine test. Thus we can provide our assurance of quality. In addition, we work with SGS in sampling our products.
